F P W L _ Day 4

Ach. We were leaving that day! And we still hadn't been to any beach in Phuket!

We remedied that as soon as we could, allowing for my terrible tummy that morning. Yeah, I finally succumbed! But a quick rest and off we were.

NaiHarn beach is as peaceful as it is beautiful. We were there early on Sunday and for a brief brief moment we had the place to ourselves.

For about an hour, we sat and got stuck in to your breakfast...... Hey! I have to tell you! There was this couple about 2 tables away from us. They were having brekkie too but the guy was on bourbon and coke with his fried rice! Man, he was really on holiday! lol. Amazing!

Anyways, back to the beach.
We stauntered along the beach but what was really sobering was the tsunami tower that had been erected. Huge thing, about 5 stories tall, big fat solid base to make sure it didn't get swept away.

It was a little hard to see all the tourists come in and have a ripping good time whilst staring at the tower. I can still picture it very vividly. No pic, it was too large for me to capture it all. But truly, a very sobering reminder.

We ended up doing the other thingie that was mandatory! Massages! Alas, not much time left so we did a 30 min head/shoulder/back session. And Bernie learnt first hand why I don't go for massages too often. I'm too ticklish! No pics too, because I was an idiot and forgot to ask the massage ladies to pose with us outside their shop.

Then it was off home to pack. But like I said, we were off the beaten path most of the time and we were really grateful for the opportunity. We could have stayed in Patong and been in tourist land. Do the same thing as everyone else. But we didn't, not really. And it was extremely good for us.

Thank you Steve! And thank you Mr Wood!

We'll be back! (But not too soon so don't worry. Heh! :D )
