Jimmie's visit!

Woo hoo.
My old bud Jimmie is back home for a wee visit.

Poor chap's been posted to Indonesia for a long while now and he was craving Charlie's Corner but I had totally forgotten they were closed on Mondays. But we more than made up for it with Italian at La Cantina. It was good to just sit, eat, smoke and catch up.

Plus since we were 7 floors up and it was evening, I had the MAGNIFICENT opportunity to watch a sea eagle slowly glide past as it headed inland to roost for the night. I just stood there, pointing and laughing like an idiot. I felt like I could almost touch it! It was so close! But I digress as usual.

Dinner. Was. Good.

We. Were. Stuffed.

Pesto. Pinenuts. Sausage. Fungi.

Whoa. What a combination.

We rounded up the evening catching 300 and I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it's all guts and glory. And it's probably one of the - literally - bloodiest movies I've caught recently. But it was entertaining and there was some pretty interesting dialogue.

Plus it has Gerald Butler and David Wenham, almost unrecognisable. Guess what? It was their voices I recognised first, rather than their faces. My unquenchable passion for buying my movie titles is paying off in a way that will never save my life. Brilliant!

Yeah, all in all, it was great. Might even pop up to Jakarta for the weekend to visit ol' Jimmie one of these days.....
