Oh wow. I didn't even think it was possible. A British woman is claiming the record for the world's fastest birth - in just under two minutes.
Palak Vyas's baby girl Vedika arrived weighing a healthy 7lb 2oz less than 120 seconds after her waters broke. There was no time for the midwife or medics to give pain relief, reports The Sun.
Proud dad Shashi, 33, said: "Palak popped to the loo and walking back her waters broke. "The midwife rushed her into a room and put her on a bed. Palak pushed once and the baby popped out. It was incredible. Doctors and the midwife could not believe it - they said it was the quickest ever."
Vedika was born at West Middlesex Hospital in Isleworth. She is the second child for Palak, 30, and IT worker Shashi from Brentford. They have a two-year-old son called Kavish.
The Vyas family have contacted the Guinness Book Of Records.
