Wedding - Grand Dinner

By the way, I cannot tell you how tired we all were.

So this evening thingie will have the least photos. I just coudln't walk around in my shoes anymore. My toes were hurting.

Oh, there were plenty of photo ops. The tables, the relatives, the yam seng which went on and on and on and on and which was bloody hilarious. I guess I'll post the yam seng when I get a copy of video.

erm, I realise that the concept of yam seng will be alien for a lot of you. Basically, at a typical Chinese wedding banquet, the master of ceremony leads the guests in toasting the couple in one extended "Yam Seng" scream. The guests join him with brandy glasses in hand, screaming with him until he runs out of breath or becomes blue in the face. When the guests hear "SENG!", they happily gulp down their drinks.

It sort of sounds like
YYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMM
SENG!

So. Immediate family from both sides gets up on stage and forms a line facing the guests. My brother's FRIENDS, however, huddled behind us and got a couple of mikes. And when they yam senged, they took turns at breathing so one yam seng was...... like..... a full minute. Damn, I really hope to show you guys what it was like :)

During the dinner, a nice touch was the 2 huge bouquets. Regina gave my mom, and James gave my mother-in-law. It was a really nice gesture, and the flowers were gorgeous!


My proud but tired parents. My god, mom's cheong sum looked so lovely (those flowers are HAND PAINTED) and dad was spiffy in his 3 piece!


And the dress. I didn't embarrass my family, no. :D


And finally, the Hogan Siblings, all looking good. Except for my shiny face. *rolls eyes*


So there you go. All done. One married, 2 more to go lol.
