woo, a taste of Germany...

I never did share with you guys....

I had to get my butt to blogging again. But first, let me share with you the background. J and I chat a lot. A LOT. We first met on Second Life, of all places, when I needed a distraction from my ex. I was angry, my sister was spending loads of time on SL, I needed a distraction, so I downloaded the client program.

I was flying around on SL, exploring, saw this dude building a house, alighted to ask permission to watch, and off we went. Initially it was a way for me to learn how SL worked. For him, it was a way to practic his English. And yes, we use online dictionaries 'till today. lol. But that's a different story... Anyways, we've chatted almost every day, and he's great company. Why are all the good ones half a world away?

So Christmas gifts. Yeah.

Because I am half Chinese, I got J all Chinese gifts. No Eurasian gifts.... it'd just turn out to be a bastardization of things anyways....

Here are my presents lying on a table in Germany. woo! That's my chat window on his desktops. Yes, with an S.

Silk dress shirt... with dragons. Alas, J looked a lot broader in the shoulders, so the shirt I got him was *gasp* too big. But he still looks good!

Also got him some chili
bak kwa. Yum yum yum! He enjoyed it! No pics of the actual meat, but I have to tell you guys... if you are ever in Singapore, you have GOT TO buy from this shop. One of the oldest, and most famous shops in Singapore, their bak kwa is to die for....

Heh, yeah. We shared the distinct tastes of our different countries... what a trip. I got food from germany too!

I got sausages... oh my god... SAUSAGES you guys. My favourite!

The sausages were apparently picked to give me a trip through Germany :) I'm not complaining... I had 2 out of 3 tins already. But the letter was cute. I kept the letter and followed the instructions. lol.

Oh my, and I got chocolate with CHILLI.

I had never had this before. And one packet was finally opened 2 days ago. lol. I I finally TASTED one yesterday. The chili is barely perceptible. It's really more sourish, than anything else. So now what I do is I nibble the sides until I hit the filling, then I pry it all out with a butter knife. lol. Lindt does great chocolate!

Heh, the internet really does make the world a smaller place :)
