OhHO!
The Parents are away.
Off to 9 days to Turkey.
It was really strange... they bought a guided tour package, which in itself is not normal as they prefer to rent a car and drive around on their own. So I suppose they're feeling a little out of their depth for this trip. And then, when I asked if they were looking forward to the trip, both parents said no. Because it was cold, because the people had a reputation for being a little rough, because the food might be strange, because the place seems a little dangerous. Yada yada yada.
eh? I think they paid about $3000 per person to go on this tour. And.... you're not looking forward to it? And you have so many concerns? Only my parents! Only my family!
PS - to The Sister : the bathroom's been baptised already. Heh.

Dad & Mum paid $3K on a guided tour??
The people are friendly there when we were in Istanbul. Many men took many looks at me even I'm properly dressed... becoz um I was exotic to them. Becoz I'm the only Asian face on the street with your brother in his bermuda in the chilly spring. He had to be the only one showing his leg hair on the streets :)
Food is yummy if you like kebabs and stuffs. But I'm alittle worried about mum. I'm not sure if she can take anchovies... they seems to love to puree everything so there's chances of hidden anchovies..
I hope they will have fun :)
Hi Regina.
I think the tour is all-inclusive, guide, hotel, transfers and food. At least, that's what I heard Mom mention. I'll ask when they get back :)
Yeah, I heard about the staring thingie. Actually, for all the women I've known who've been to Turkey (and Istanbul), the staring thingie is terrible. It's like the indian men in Little India here. It's not even oogling, it's just plain drooling!
