Baffled by human inertia

Am continuously amazed at people (colleagues) who won't do anything without being INSTRUCTED to. Hello, what happened to thinking minds, or taking the initiative, or simply being logical? You ask me my opinion, I give it, then you turn to someone else and ask for their opinion too? Hello, did you want a bloody survey on what to do next? Or did you want to hear an ORDER that's given? Sorry, you're not a 6 year old for me to give intructions to!

Bah.

If I were to go through life so brainless, I think I'll just kill myself. It's like living only halfway.

That's not right.

*I* think I'm living halfway, what with having a job I'n not sweating in. I know feeling pressure and being stretched - up to a point - is a good way to improve and hone one's talents. I'm sitting pat, sitting pretty. No stretching, no pressure, I'm doing this job with one eye closed. I suppose I'll have to get off my ass and DO something before I stagnate to death lol

But these folks.... *shakes head* It's like having no brains at all!
I wonder if they're like that outside the office too? Like this ALL the time? Do they have to run to their spouse/parents/siblings to discuss matters before they take action? Hey, how about asking for their permission before you wipe your own ass?

I mean, really, that's how strongly I feel about this particular attitude of theirs. What's wrong with them, do you think? I struggle to understand them, their motivations, their inspirations. Sometimes I wonder what it's like to go through life with that sort of attitude....

Is it fear? That they don't want to shoulder a single iota of responsibility? Or is it laziness? To ensure that whatever action is fobbed off to some poor sucker? Either way is an unfathomable way of life, to me.


Soooo grateful that my few, but TRUSTED friends, aren't like this :o
