What a way to end my shift...
Was working home from buying my food... breakfast for everyone, but "dinner" for me, and I was hungry. Trudging home, only 0745 and already hot and muggy enough to perspire into my bra. My only thoughts were to go home, eat quickly, and then try and unwind so I could sleep.
I looked up, and lo, I was transfixed. There, across the road from me, was a rainbow. It looked like it hung just on top of the flats, and it was pinned to the mass of heavy, sullen clouds which threatened a light muggy shower. I thought I was seeing things, but nope. Rainbow in Pasir Ris lol.
Oh, it was pretty. Atmospheric phenomenon is always pretty to me :) but lookit, you guys, there wasn't just one, there were TWO rainbows. A double rainbow!! Right in front of me! The upper one is substantially fainter, but oh, it was a sight for sore eyes! The pictures don't do any justice AT ALL, taken with my camera phone, but I just had to share it.
I felt doubly blessed. Truly. I stood by the side of the road and just calmly smoked my cig, watching the sky. Around me people were walking to the bus stop or market place, all in a hurry, and there I was, just looking up the sky. lol. People must have thought me bonkers! And *I* was thinking you lot, you should stop for a while. Look at what wonders our planet gives us! Stop!!! Of course, I rushed home after that and babbled to the parents who's just gotten up lol.
But oh gee :D Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!
