This is the first, I repeat, FIRST time I have ever rated a movie 10 out of 10. It was... perfect!
Visually, the film was a gem; beautiful shots of mind bending (literally) cityscapes. The cast were stupendous; I normally don't fancy Leonardo DiCaprio but I put that aside in favour of his acting chops. And by golly, EVERYONE in this movie acted. And story wise?
People : for once, here is a movie which has a story to tell. Of love, of anguish, of loss, of pain, of deceit and of redemption. And an ending that left me feeling incredibly WTF?
Loads of summaries available online, so you can surf for it. But this movie is really deserving of it's hype.
It runs at over 2 hours, but you will not notice the length. I promise. There are no boring bits, there is no wasted dialogue, there are no superfluous characters, there is nothing in this movie that doesn't play a part.
And the climax is stupendous! The film is so layered I had to continuously remind myself about how the bits and bobs are all linked. I think I've seen THE movie of the year. And I'll need to see it at least twice more in theatres. Yup.
Christoper Nolan, my new hero!

I can't wait to catch it!
And I like Leonardo. ;)
Hi Coco,
The movie's absolutely fantastic.... I want to go see it again!! And possibly a third time. And then buy it on dvd when it comes out so I can watch it at home again and again!
I know, I'm such a basket case lol
Heh! I did the same thing for Silence of the Lambs - watched the movie, love it, then bought the poor quality video from M'sia (yes, video in those days) which I'd watched repeatedly; later bought the book, and even later, bought the special edition hard cover twin book (SOTL and Red Dragon). It was years later that Red Dragon the movie came out, but the book always seems to be better. It was FUN. :)
It would be good to watch Inception again, coz it's really quite complicated, in a clever way, although I do have a couple of loophole doubtful questions. Hee hee.
Hi Coco,
Absolutely, it was smartly done and the movie assumes one is smart enough to keep up. I liked that.
Really? You have questions? *chuckles* Go on, let's have them :)
