Death

Came online, all ready and fired up. Then received an SMS.

A fellow MBAer is in a bad spot - Mom just passed away. Sorry folks, no more blogging. Lots more but it'll have to wait. I am just filled with thought right now. Thoughts on how she's doing, her family, mortality, my family, my parents (Mag and I are the same age after all), living and dying.

Good grief! Nanny is 85 this year and I brought the MasterChief to see her on this trip down over the weekend - brought him to meet her even before introducing him to my parents. Thought it would make her day because she's never seen me this happy with a man before. And I confess I have been worried about how frail she has gotten.... it was like a race to get her to see the MasterChief before she passed on.

You cannot believe how grateful I am, that I had that opportunity.

Sorry to hear about your friends mothers death. Remember that a person is only gone when you forget about them. So maybe you can share some of your thoughts about your friend’s mother. The joys that she gave to you.

It's like a marathon, wanting your loved ones to witness every happy moment and celebrate with you all the joyous occasions.

Anon (is that you Eric?), absolutely right. It felt like that. Didn't feel good!
