This evening, as the sun went down, the trees outside my block of ftas were all aglow in golden sunlight. It had rained earlier on in the afternoon, but it was a light one, a fresh drizzle that washed the air clean. A cool breeze, a lazy feel.
How odd it felt, to look out my window, see dappled sunlight play amongst green leaves and see the surrounding blocks practically glow in the early evening light. And to then rememeber that halfway around the world people are fighting to keep their lives and their sanity intact in wretched, terrible circumstances.
Thankful for what I have.
