We have 2 public holidays this week.
To-day is Deepavali, the Hindu Festival of Light. And on Thur it is Hari Raya, when my muslim friends end their holy month of Ramadan. Slow week, which is great. Then I am off work from 21 - 29.... the last of my leave for this year. November might be a pretty slack month for me.

i havent heard of the Hindu Festival of Light. (probably because i live in a very nonintergrated area... very "white bread", middle class, quasi-christian, americans here) but it sounds interesting. would you be willing to post a little more about it?
