Holy crap. Busy busy busy.
The early policy statements are finally released and, despite what I said in the beginning, it's an UNholy madness that's calling in over the phones these past 7 days. And I'll add that Dick of the Week is being held over in celebration of the gross stupidity that's pervading the office right now.
Last year, as part of the "streamlining" our govt was doing for it's stat boards, a certain life insurance scheme was taken out of govt care and handed over to 2 insurers for private administration. One of these companies is whom I work for currently.
We have sent out, on 3 separate occasions, 3 separate and distinct mailers/letters informing the public about this. There was an ad campaign and there were phone calls. And yet..... and yet..... when people receive their statements, they got a huge huge frickin' shock and they called in. All yelling, demanding and angst-ridden :
- demanding info on who authorised the premium deductions??
- who took out insurance in their names??
- why are we stealing their money??
- how DARE we impose these unwanted attentions, financially and otherwise, on them??
Gods above, I cannot believe my govt is wasting money on this buggers.
They don't deserve it. Not one iota. Not one whit. Not one drop.
Singaporeans are a bloody pampered lot and if you cannot read or skim through what's sent to you, especially official governmental mail, holy crap you deserve every bit coming to you.
OH. GOOD. GRIEF.
Said stat board takes away 20% of ANY income I earn! Squirrelled away for me until I turn 55. Or 60. Cannot touch it, cannot withdraw it. And if they sent me mail, I would read the fucker through more thoroughly than I do my bikini shave.
What's wrong with these damned people?
Natural introvert, learned extrovert.
