Non stop

At work, early morning shift.
Everyone's at their terminal, quietly sleeping with their eyes open. Except for one woman. This filipina who cannot stop chattering. And it IS chatter.

From the time I stepped in at 6.50am until now, 7.20, she has spoken to everyone, one after another, and it's just..... ARGH!

Oh wait, she's stopped? Ah, only because the guy sitting next to her has a call and she has no one to speak to. Ah, C is off the line. She's started again.

Have you got colleagus like that? Idle mouth? Wiring all louse? No red light? All the time go? I had a housemate like that once. Tessia couldn't stop either.

This was especially bad in the mornings, when we'd take the train in to work. She wouldn't bother if I was dozing - she'd nudge me awake. If I were reading, she'd still nudge me to ensure I was focusing on her. If I grunted my replies, she'd ask for more details. One day I just turned to her and said Could you please just stem the flow for one morning? She was so offended, but I was so damned mad. How oblivious can you be? She's now somewhere overseas with her third husband. I declined to attend the last wedding.

Idle chatter. Non stop. Flapping mouths. So not me.
